Management

Sven Schielke

CEO
Sven Schielke is the CEO of PAVIS GmbH (since June 2026) and has been the Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of PAVIS GmbH since July 2023, with responsibility for finance and payments. Furthermore, he's manging director of PAVIS Payments GmbH since July 2023. Before PAVIS, he was the CFO of the German subsidiary of a Banco Santander Group payments company, COO of a FinTech, General Representative of a major German Bank, Head of Payments with a leading German Real Estate Bank, and a Director at KPMG. Sven holds a master's degree in business studies from Munich LMU University, is a Financial Risk Manager (FRM/Global Association of Risk Professionals), and a Qualified Banker (HypoVereinsbank).

Karsten Witke

COO
Karsten Witke is COO of PAVIS GmbH (since June 2026) and Managing Director of PAVIS Payments GmbH (since October 2024), after serving as General Manager (2022–2024) at PAVIS Payments GmbH. He leads risk, compliance, and payment operations with a focus on secure, regulated transaction systems. Prior to PAVIS, he was Head of Risk Digital Services at Concardis (2020–2022). He holds a Diplom-Kaufmann degree in Business Administration from Hochschule Zittau/Görlitz and certifications in AML and risk management.

Florian Oberhage

Patents

Florian Oberhage has been heading the PAVIS patent section since 2009. He is responsible for handling and processing instructions for patent annuity payments and client account management. Following his commercial training as industrial clerical officer (German Chamber of Commerce degree) at Siemens AG, he studied business administration at the Ludwig Maximilian University Munich whilst working at Infineon Technologies. Florian was head of customer services at Dormando and at Euro Product Services AG before joining PAVIS.

Stella Ita

Trademarks and recordals

Stella Ita has been heading up the trademark and recordals department at PAVIS since 2014. She has a diploma in law and was previously employed at the legal department of IG Metall, a German trade union. Stella began her working life as a trained actor appearing at theatres in Austria, Germany and Switzerland until 2007. After studying law at the Ludwig Maximilian University Munich she completed her state examinations and worked as a junior lawyer at the Higher Regional Court Munich I.

Torsten Kraus

Business Development

Torsten Kraus is responsible for new and potential clients. He has been working in IP for 10 years and has a total of 15 years experience in marketing and sales. After studying law at Bonn University, Torsten initially worked as a consultant before joining VR Netze GmbH as key account manager. In 2008 he moved to IPAN GmbH, first as senior consultant and finally from 2014 to 2017 as regional director sales in the German speaking market.

Werner Geißler

IT

Werner Geissler joined in 2018 to oversee software strategy, data and IT processes at PAVIS. He has 17 years’ experience in IP Management at Brandstock Services AG., serving as CIO before his move. Previously, he was technical director at Interface GmbH in Nuremberg and was also involved in the EU DAMASCOS project. He started his career as a programmer and systems analyst for businesses in the fields of trading and pharma.
